José's Professional and Educational Endeavors
Joseph (José) Rabinowitz was a scientist educationally, professionally, and personally. José's scientific accomplishments include over 300 journal publications, three books, lecturing around the world, the discovery of HMG CoA (which lead to the development of statins), and teaching at the University of Pennsylvania, where he was well known for including jokes at the beginning of each lecture to encourage students to arrive on time.
